Firstly, you must understand the reason for having a website and what are your reasons?
Obviously you want to make sales. You want to get new sales enquiries from customers that have originated from the search engine. In order to achieve that, you need to search engines to list your website.

To generate sales, you need targetted traffic (readers) from the search engines.

You get these phrases embedded in your website using the correct procedures and within a period of time, your website will start to rank as you would like in the search engines. The search engines, in return, send people to your website.
But where does your SEO begin?
You need a detailed plan of your website, a plan for the distribution of your keywords and a plan for the distribution and implementation of relevant content.
You also need a structure. Each of these pages on your website that will have the keywords and phrases need a navigational structure.
You need a fluent layout. Your website needs to have a layout that anybody can follow it needs to be easy to return to the homepage. The site navigation must be easy to follow not only for the reader but also for the search engines.
So it is crucial that you get the strategy and the layout of your website right, from the start.

That is every website owners dream. Being in first, second or even third position on the main search engines is one of the main factors that will make your website successful.
