Website Prices

When people ask me about website prices I am, honestly, lost for the perfect answer. I want to say something like "whatever you can afford" but I do feel that answer would be short-changing them because there really is so much more to it than that.

  • What are you aiming to achieve?
  • How much content do you need to have in order to have a reasonable online 'presence'?
  • Who are your customers and how competitive is the market?

You see, there is so much more than just the website prices to consider, because there is so much more than just the designing of the website to consider. You must also take into account:

  • Promoting the website.
  • Testing the website.
  • Analysing the competition.
  • Developing your customer conversions - without conversions your website is pointless - at any price.

Funny how one question can raise so many more, isn't it?

But that is the way it is. Do you want a Rolls Royce but can only afford a Mondeo?  Do you need massive promotions to compete in your market sector?

Promoting your website is the most difficult and costly task - the designing it is the easy part. Getting it to actually work for you is the most important issue. The better question than one about "website prices" would be:

How much can I afford to not only design a website, but continuously promote it and compete.
