Quick SEO Tips

A selection of valuable tips, tricks and secrets that will, if used correctly, help you make the most of your business website – maximise the exposure in the top Search Engines (Google, MSN and Yahoo! Being the main ones you need to aim for).

Your free collection of tips have been collected over 10 years of effective Internet marketing for countless companies and a range of websites.

This collection was never intended to give you a step by step guide to online success. It is, in fact, a collection that you can randomly view and learn from (and implement) over time as you develop your website optimisation and linking strategy.

To break things down a little for you, the tips are in a number of categories and, so that you get all you can from these pages, I've included references (and links occasionally) to other resources, many of which are free to use.

It's very important that your writing style reflects not only yourself, but the type of customer you expect to be reading your website, so I'd certainly recommend that all of your web copy is written in an informal style and a style that reflects your target audience's personalities.

Claim Your Business Listing

Google Maps and Local Business Centre

Many businesses are listed on Google Maps that were not put there by the business owners. Many were inherited by Google when the integrate data from 'acquired' data sources and, althought IMO it is wrong to use unverified data, the listings go out as search results.
